Recognized, Registered, and Growing Together
Pediatric Interventional Pulmonology has been assigned its ISSN!
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Pediatric Interventional Pulmonology is nearing its first anniversary. What started as an idea has grown, thanks to your energy, expertise, and support, into a living and thriving community.
In just one year, together we have:
Launched the journal and received high‑quality submissions from around the globe
Established a international Editorial Board
Started our educational series with high quality, expert led webinars
Partnered with PILCA for engaging case discussions
Built an active, supportive global community of clinicians
Earlier this year, we gathered for on‑site group meetings and community‑building events at the EABIP Congress in Lisbon and the INSPiRED Congress in Barcelona.
And now, we are proud to share another important milestone:
Our journal has officially been assigned
an ISSN: 3102-2405! 🎉
This recognition means that our work is now formally part of the global scientific record. It’s a step that ensures the contributions of our community will be visible, accessible, and citable for years to come.
Over the coming months, we’ll be taking important steps to strengthen the journal’s visibility and ensure that your contributions are permanently accessible and citable:
CrossRef registration → all published articles will soon be assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), making them easy to cite and track worldwide
Permanent repository inclusion → articles will be archived in a trusted, long-term repository to guarantee accessibility for generations to come
Indexing preparation → we’re laying the groundwork for future inclusion in major academic databases to further increase visibility and impact
Each of these steps will bring more recognition to the work of our community, and more opportunities to advance the field together.
