Something New at APIP 2027!

More opportunities to learn. More hands-on experience. More ways to advance pediatric interventional pulmonology.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Under the leadership of Prof. Dirk Schramm, APIP has grown into the world’s largest and one of the most prestigious international courses dedicated to advanced pediatric interventional pulmonology, bringing together renowned experts and participants from across the globe to share expertise, foster collaboration, and shape the future of the field.

In 2027, we are taking APIP one step further!

This year, we are expanding our program beyond the main APIP course with four dedicated postgraduate (PG) courses, offering participants the opportunity to develop practical skills, explore new techniques, and connect clinical practice with translational research.

Explore Our New PG Courses

Flexible Paediatric Bronchoscopy | April 14–15, 2027

A two-day, hands-on introduction to flexible bronchoscopy, designed primarily for beginners. From essential techniques and interpretation of findings to emergency bronchoscopy and critical airway management, participants will gain practical experience under close guidance from expert tutors.

Rigid Paediatric Bronchoscopy | April 14–15, 2027

Designed for beginners, clinicians refreshing their skills, and those entering the field of interventional bronchoscopy. This intensive course combines essential procedural techniques, ventilation strategies, emergency airway management, and an introduction to advanced interventions, including airway dilatation.

Pediatric Pleural Interventions | April 14, 2027

Discover the latest approaches to pleural procedures through focused, practical training. With special emphasis on medical thoracoscopy, participants will explore rigid and flexible pleuroscopy, pleural drainage, thoracentesis, pleural biopsies, pleurodesis, and therapeutic interventions.

From Bedside to Breakthrough: Research Models and Translational Thinking in Pediatric Interventional Pulmonology | April 15, 2027

A unique opportunity to connect clinical questions with experimental research. Through interactive sessions, practical stations, and interdisciplinary teamwork, participants will discover how bronchoscopic samples can contribute to translational studies and develop their own research concepts alongside clinicians and basic scientists.

Small Groups. Expert Guidance. Real Hands-On Experience.

The PG courses are designed to encourage active participation, practical learning, and direct interaction with experienced international faculty.

With places strictly limited, participants will benefit from personalised guidance and an engaging, interactive learning environment.

Whether you are taking your first steps in pediatric bronchoscopy, expanding your interventional skills, or exploring new research opportunities, APIP 2027 offers a learning experience tailored to your professional development.

Join us in April 2027 and be part of this exciting new chapter of APIP!
